Note: The techniques
and principles taught in my Self Defense Claases are based on a Korean Martial Art named Hapkido (pronounced as
Hop - Key - Dough). You do not have to learn any foreign words or terms for this class. You may however
see some the teaching materials on this web site refer to Hapkido, so this paragraph is here to let you know a bit more about
the roots out which my teaching grows.

How to Order your Uniform
You must order a uniform and a protector
(whether you are male or female). Why do we need uniforms?
- So that our partners can practice defenses against grabs
- Because
the uniform will not tear like regular clothes might
- So that you are focused on what is different
about this class.
If you have a white judo unifrom of your
own or are taking a class from Master Murty, you may use it, but you have to have a protector. You may not use colored uniforms or ones that are not as sturdy as a judo gi.
